equality & love songs
i write love song. i’ve never been very political though some have suggested it because of the confidence i have being openly gay in the public eye. as the air is thick with one of the biggest equal rights movements of our lifetime, i’m leaving for tour this week galvanized, inspired & proud to hold up our torch a little higher for all of us. lets do this.
tonight, i saw a very public display from the object of my affection now effecting someone else. it was like taking a bullet. my mother always said when I was a kid, “you’re greatest fault & biggest asset is that heart on your sleeve” …I suppose in time the asset part will start to kick in
